As part of continued expansion, we’re seeking a highly capable Additive Manufacturing Technician to join a dynamic and innovative team. Based at a new state-of-the-art laboratory facility, the successful applicant will be responsible for the setting up additive manufacturing equipment, general maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Setting up and operating of additive manufacturing equipment, including SLA, DLP, LCD, FDM and Binder Jet printers
• Setting up and operating post processing equipment, including washing, and curing systems 
• Conducting material selection and optimisation.
• Managing and setting up workflows to meet project deadlines 
• Developing and upholding SOPs and Risk Assessments and providing training to other users
• Supporting R&D teams in the design, conduct and validation of experiments to confirm results
• Manage and maintain clean and safe 3D print lab
• Preparing and modifying CAD geometries for different additive manufacturing techniques
• Developing appropriate post processing methods to meet target material properties
• Working across multiple projects to provide technical expertise in additive manufacturing

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Degree in engineering or other relevant degree
• Experience in the use of printers (SLA/DLP/LCD), binder jetting and powder-bed fusion (SLS/SLM)
• 3D CAD experience
• At ease working in groups, individually and with industrial collaborators
• Quick learner, able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and take ownership
• Able to think critically and solve problems
• Competent PC user with experience of using Microsoft products 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Flexible approach and attitude to working as part of a small entrepreneurial team
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety and experience in developing SOPs
