We are looking for an experienced design release manager to deliver design data from PLM Teamcenter to our procurement team and ERP SAGE 200, in a form that enables structured management of design release and BOM, and accurate procurement and stock management.

Responsibilities:

• Works as part of the design team across concurrent engine upgrade projects at various stages of design maturity to own:
• Design BOM availability, integrity, rationalisation and management
• BoM integration across business systems in conjunction with business system owners, including BOM structure to support successful kitting and build management
• Detailed design release plans in conjunction with Technical Project Leads to achieve target MRD, consolidating feedback for assemblies / upgrades for release
• CAD data including part numbering & description methodology
• Make-or-buy with support from Purchasing and indicating buy level in BOM
• Release of drawings in conjunction with designers, and processing of any further changes via change requests
• Identification of PLM release issues and opportunities for improvement, and develop these in conjunction with PLM owner
• Support of purchasing in rationalisation of standard parts and other continuous improvement

The person:

• Experienced in BOM and CAD data management in a PLM environment, ideally Teamcenter
• Experienced in use of CAD packages to interface with BOM content, Creo 4 would be an advantage but other packages can be considered
• Experienced in management of complex design releases, ideally in a mechanical engineering environment
• Experienced in the application of BOM and design data to achieve target MRD in conjunction with purchasing
• Has worked in an SME environment requiring hands on resolution of issues and an ability to work co-operatively and cross functionally to achieve business objectives
