Your Responsibilities:

  • Design of schematics and harness diagrams from vehicle architecture using Zuken E3 software
  • Update and maintain existing wiring diagrams and documentation during manufacture and commissioning
  • Work with a variant of engineering disciplines to design around 3D CAD and test and development requirements
  • Collaboration in system design reviews and update documentation accordingly
  • Defining high level system architecture drawings of an electrical control system
  • Liaising with controls and mechanical engineers to produce a unified strategy
  • Examining load requirements and selecting appropriate fuse ratings and conductor CSA
  • Research and selecting compatible components/ connectors
  • BOM management
  • Assisting with stock management and preparation for manufacture

Essential Skills:

  • Engineering experience in the field of automotive/ motorsport electrical engineering
  • Previous experience in the preparation of electrical schematics using dedicated electrical design software (Zuken E3 preferred)
  • Working knowledge of interfacing requirements of digital, analogue and communications signals
  • Previous experience in automotive related design and installation an advantage
  • Knowledge of isolation requirements and practices for DC systems to 800V
  • An understanding of electric vehicle architecture is advantageous
