Working closely with the Project Director and Project Lead, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of a major prototype electrified powertrain program over 2 years.

In addition, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the wider business to develop program efficiency within specific business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically owns, plans and leads the project governance
  • Implements program management tools and processes
  • Responsible for helping derive and maintain the appropriate balance of budget, timing, and customer satisfaction goals whilst maintaining core values
  • Leads the creation of robust and detailed project plans, identifying appropriate stages, critical paths, dependencies, milestones and gateways with the support of the Project Lead.
  • Creates high level plans consolidating all stages and plans
  • Assesses and clearly communicates a project’s status, health, forecast and risks to a senior audience.
  • Support the Program Technical Lead in organising and managing project teams
  • Acts appropriately to drive through timely completion of tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Effectively prioritises tasks and needs with an understanding of the balance of Reputation, Margin and Core values.
  • Identifies, tracks and mitigates risks and issues, escalating where necessary
  • Manages program finances including forecasting, invoicing, and reconciliation of spend
  • Interfaces with the customer directly and communicates project management related items whilst demonstrating a fundamental technical understanding of the project scope.
  • Represents the program at weekly and monthly status reviews
  • Manages project documentation, data storage and file systems, and sets appropriate communication channels and methods.
  • Chairs and minutes project meetings, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work global project collaborations, empathetic to cultural nuances and sensitivities, promoting effective ways of working within the team.
  • Tracks and protects scope and deliverables, specifically managing change requests, variations and customer expectations
  • Adept at extracting and communicating key lessons learnt across the program to drive continual improvement
