My client designs, develops and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for traction applications. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a Motor Design Engineer (Senior / Technical Specialist level).

If you have experience in the Design of radial and axial flux automotive traction motors, including:

• Permanent-magnet synchronous motors
• Wound-field synchronous motors
• Induction motors
• Switched reluctance motors

And you are skilled at:

• Design of winding systems: random-wound stranded, concentrated, axially inserted hairpin, continuous wave hairpin
• Electromagnetic FEA-assisted performance simulations
• Interpretation of customer system-level electric drive requirements down to motor active part level
• Thermal analysis of electric motors with complex cooling system requirements (i.e. oil spray)
• Electric motor NVH theory and simulation techniques
• Electric motor control and modulation strategies
• Communication, presenting technical material & working closely with a global team of experts in the field of electric powertrains
• Interfacing with customers and present highly accurate motor performance predictions
