Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and prototyping of complex mechanical systems and modules for a 3D printer.
• Manage relationships with outsourcing partners and suppliers to ensure project alignment.
• Mentor and engage with junior engineers throughout design, testing, and validation processes.
• Develop and analyze detailed 3D CAD models and technical product documentation.
• Conduct reviews with suppliers to enhance manufacturability and troubleshoot post-release issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience in mechatronic design; or a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in CAD design software (preferably Siemens NX) and knowledge of PLM systems (preferably Siemens Teamcenter).
• Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring junior engineers and managing outsourcing activities.
• Expertise in mechanical part design principles, including sheet metal, milling, turning, and welding; additive manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis tools (preferably Ansys) and demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
