An exciting opportunity has arisen within the North Hampshire Agency for a Trainee Commercial Sales Executive. The role will, initially, require the job holder to acquire general insurance licenses for our range of personal insurance products and work within the Customer Services and Sales team.
It is intended that the successful candidate will be developed into a Commercial Sales executive role over a 12- 18-month period.
About The Role:
The successful applicant will initially be expected to undertake a wide variety of tasks including the following:
• Prospecting and developing new business leads.
• Introducing clients to our Financial Services and Risk Management products & services
• Maintaining relationships with our extensive bank of existing clients, adjusting insurance policies in line with client requirements.
• Co-ordinating and transacting policy renewals for existing clients – we pride ourselves in a 95% + client retention rate.
• Support and aide development of marketing campaigns to increase lead generation.
• Requirement to acquire general Insurance product “licenses” and build & maintain technical knowledge and skills.
• It is intended that the job holder will develop into a Commercial Sales Executive role through, internal training and additional licensing and supported to achieve Chartered Institute of Insurance professional qualifications.
• The Commercial Sales Executive role involves maintaining relationships with our existing book of commercial clients, e.g., retailers and tradespersons, and growing our commercial client base.
• Subject to performance we expect the transition to Commercial Sales Executive to take place over a 12 to-18-month period.

• Confident, self-motivated & dynamic personality
• Strong relationship building and prospecting skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and take responsibility for a sale target.
• Organised, prompt & trustworthy.
• Diligence is essential in this regulated industry.
• Experience in a regulated industry desirable but not essential
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Maths and English GCSE Grade 4-9 (or equivalent). Please clearly state all individual qualifications on your application- essential.
• University degree – desirable.
• CRM in particular MS Dynamics or Salesforce experience – desirable
• Full driving licence required. – essential.
