Wiring and assembly of machinery including Control panel wiring and mechanical assembly/fitting.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- To undertake the assembly and manufacture parts & assemblies to the point where they are complete machines and ready for test.
Tasks to be undertaken:
- Control Panel Assembly and Wiring.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies and finished machine
- Finishing and Packaging of finished machines
- Wiring of chamber
- Testing of chamber using instructions provided.
- Self inspection of finished items using laid down methodology.
- Improve assembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimise waste.
- Ensure quality work produced to minimise non-conformities.
- Ensure provided Work Instructions and methods are adhered to the letter.
- Ensure tidiness, cleanliness and standards of ‘housekeeping’ in own work area and throughout the workshop
- Training of other employees as required.
- Picking and packing of Spares Orders.
- Any supportive task for production that the employee is capable of.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Competence in undertaking general electro mechanical assembly or finishing operations.
- Competence in wiring control panel installations in accordance with best practice standards.
- Competence in pneumatic installations in accordance with best practice standards (but training can be given in this area).
- Competent mechanical fitting skills.
- As defined by any future skills matrix that is both reasonable and achievable.
- Fork truck Licence would be an advantage but not necessary.
- Manual handling ability will be required.
