Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for production activities as well as project and manufacturing process engineering expertise in order to lead on projects against existing processes.
  • Enhance and expand the production capabilities of the company through evaluation of current production activities, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Design, implement and maintain processes within the department.
  • Prepare and update work instructions for all manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare documentation for new and changes to existing processes.
  • Conduct and maintain updates of all risk assessments
  • Identification of legislation and regulatory requirements associated with new and existing processes, ensuring compliance.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of accurate BOM’s.
  • Liaise regularly with key stakeholders and management, ensuring the appropriate communication of project status.
  • Plan direct and coordinate site work with other staff activities, certifying work and writing risk assessments and method statements as required.
  • Complete on-site engineering/planning/reviews when required for customer work.
  • Have a working understanding of the ERP System to maintain records and access reports in accordance with our ISO procedures.
  • Assist with and conduct audits in line with ISO audit accreditation.

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a manufacturing engineer role or similar
  • Must hold a recognised engineering qualification or accumulated experience in a defined discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Process instruction creation.
  • Document control experience.
  • HSE and COSHH regulations.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Proactive can-do attitude.
  • Commitment to professional development and self-learning.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Communication skills.

Desirable Experience & Skills:

  • Supervisory experience
  • ERP experience
  • Lean manufacturing methodology
  • Familiar with ISO9001 standards
  • Knowledge of quality processes.
