About the position 

We are currently working with a company based in Nottingham who design and manufacture printing machinery for paper, packaging and textiles. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, and the machines are designed, manufactured and installed entirely in-house with training, servicing, spare parts & consumables provided – all in one place.

Job Responsibilities: 

• PLC Programming fault finding & programming development.
• Supporting our existing team in production of new Printing machinery and ancillary equipment.
• Candidates should have experience in a variety of PLC systems (Siemens, Schnieder, Bosch)
• Ideally they should have experience in special purpose machine design & development.
• Mainly factory based in Nottingham, but the position involves occasional travel nationally & overseas.

Experience Required: 

• A strong background in Software, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• PLC Programming experience. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical author experience creating technical documentation for control systems.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.).
