My client is the worlds’ leading independent motorsport company and the business behind some of the greatest names and achievements in motorsport over the last 40 years.

My client is seeking a talented and motivated No 1 Technician to work within the Rally Raid team ensuring cars, spares and equipment are prepared on time and carrying out any other tasks as dictated by the Chief Technician and Engineering department. Extended periods of worldwide travel are required

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out work competently and within the times laid down by the Chief Technician
• Keep the Chief Technician informed at all times of any additional work necessary on a car during build or repair
• Lead the team of Technicians at the factory and on event, ensuring the car preparation is to the highest standard and on time
• Perform on-event and workshop maintenance as required by the Chief Technician
• Ensure car is always to the correct specification
• Interact with other departments, in turn ensuring there are no un-necessary delays
• Provide guidance, coaching and training to ensure your team are meeting agreed quality and performance targets and develop at a pace aligned with their potential

Experience Required:

• You will have previous experience as a No 1 or No 2 Technician within a Rally team, with a strong ability to understand and interpret the build specification of a full car set up
• You will have the ability to follow build and operational procedures accurately, be a team player and a good communicator with teammates, engineers and management
• Good attention to detail is required, along with a flexible approach and preparedness to work overtime as dictated by the demands of the business
