Classic Car panel beater / coachbuilder

Are you a passionate and experienced coach builder and panel beating specialist? Do you have an eye for perfection and an undying love for classic cars? This company based in Sandbach is an increasingly growing restoration facility based in Cheshire, working on a variety of magnificent cars, aging from pre-war Austins through to future classics like the Pontiac Firebird. With an ever-increasing client portfolio, they are wishing to expand their workforce by hiring an experienced Panel beater / Coachbuilder to join the team. Primarily they require proficient skills in TIG and MIG welding body panels to a seamless standard, making and repairing panels using planishing and wheeling techniques. Any paint or mechanical skills in the classic car field would be highly advantageous for someone that would be interested in this unique opportunity.

Responsibilities:
 

• Panel beating and bodywork finishing.
• Making repair panels using various equipment and hand tools.
• Using MIG, TIG and spot welders to create seamless repairs. (Previous gas welding experience would be a bonus).
• Painting and colour-matching.
• Detailing and polishing panels.
• Quality assurance.
• Problem solving and the ability to think of creative solutions.
