Job Overview:

We are urgently seeking Coded Welders with specialized experience in TIG welding for an industrial installation project in London. The successful candidates must hold a valid TIG coded welding certificate and demonstrate proficiency in welding stainless steel and mild steel pipework.

This is a 3-month contract, and the project start date is confirmed for Monday, 16th. Please note, 415V or 110V welding units will be provided on-site; 240V equipment is not permitted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel pipework to the highest industry standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with coding requirements and project specifications.
  • Read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding schematics to ensure proper installation of pipework.
  • Perform industrial installation tasks related to pipefitting as required by the project.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of welds, ensuring they meet both visual and nondestructive examination standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify any issues in the welding or installation process.
  • Adhere to site-specific safety protocols and industry safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

  • TIG coded certificate (Mandatory).
  • Strong experience welding stainless steel and mild steel in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding specifications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures related to welding and industrial installations.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid pipefitting and welding certifications (preferred but not required for the pipefitting portion).

Tools and Equipment Provided:

  • Welding Units: Only 415V or 110V welding units will be available; 240V units are not allowed on-site.
  • Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Welding helmets, gloves, and other protective gear.
  • Any additional necessary tools required for the project will be supplied on-site.
